Common-ing — The Keepers Artist Collective
Southampton City Art Gallery | 17th October 2026
Created in direct response to Dennis Mitchell’s Landscape Form in the Southampton City Art Gallery archives,my contribution to the collective show is a new sculpture which explores the fragile illusions of ownership and permanence within the natural world.
Adapting my practice of weaving natural materials to the constraints of the gallery, I have worked with wire, paper and glue to construct a delicate, skeletal landscape. Its projecting forms and shifting shadows extend the work beyond the wall, while emerging plant-like structures suggest the continual transformation and renewal of the land.
The work forms part of Common-ing, an exhibition by The Keepers Artist Collective.
