I love going to harbours and beaches and I always have a camera to hand just in case I see something that sings to me as a potential painting. The inspiration for this painting came from time spend down in Devon and Cornwall but could so easily have been from any of the beautiful stretched of coastlines in my travels around the British coastline in our camper van.
