Many of  my digital pieces are imaginary, I often love to create an image that has an almost other world quality. My focus when this piece was to create  a textural  image  that would have a oil based velvet like quality providing a sense of movement and urgency.

My inspiration  for this piece links my love of nature and my magpie nature of  collecting natural objects , stones, shells and wood being particular favorites . I wanted to wanted to capture what for me was the essence of the piece without making an exact duplicate.
